A Relaxed 8 Miles on Memorial Day

Today for Memorial Day I had a nice easy 8 miles on the schedule.  After a nice 17 yesterday I was told to keep the pace nice and easy today.    I started the run just before 7am and it was gorgeous outside.  The sun was just coming up and there was not a cloud in the sky.  It makes one thankful for all we have especially on this day to remember those who sacrificed so that we have the freedoms we do in the United States.  I am very thankful.

I ran into Tyler State Park and ran the “back loop” and then back home.  The entire run I was very conscious to keep the pace easy.  It was one of those days that I felt very good, almost effortless.  I wish I could feel like this every day, just bottle this one up!  After the run I did 100 pushups using the stability ball.  I then had a recovery drink and started the Memorial Day holiday with my family.

Tomorrow I will be back at with a hard workout.

50 Days until I leave for Israel, 52 days until the opening ceremonies and then 56 days until the Maccabiah Games Half Marathon!
