7 Miles with Pickups – Bring on the Heat!

Quick posting this time around…

Today coach Marino had me run 7 miles with 6 one minute intervals at 5K race pace with one minute of recovery pace running in between.  I ran this workout in the morning but even this morning it was already in the 70’s and humid.  I ran 3 miles to get going and then hit the first one minute interval.  Basically the next two miles were run at this hard easy alternating minutes and I ran that in 12 minutes (obviously) which is not bad at all.  The run was finished up with 2 more miles.  I am finally beginning to feel some improvement in my fitness level..   The next few days are to be in the 90’s F which should provide a good preview of what it will feel like in Israel in July…

Tonight adding in pushups on the stability ball.

47 days until I leave for Israel, 48 days until the opening ceremonies and 53 days until the Maccabiah Games Half Marathon!
